Home Therapy  

We are dedicated to providing quality services in the home setting with a focus on improving independence and the quality of life.  Our team will develop and implement a program unique to your child's specific needs that will focus on important skills such as alternatives to challenging behavior, functional communication, adaptive life skills, and social skills.   What do these programs look like?  
  • Challenging Behavior:  Does your child have difficulty when told "no" or that he/she needs to wait?  Your child will be assessed to determine why your child is engaging in challenging behavior.  Once the function of the behavior is determined, a program will be developed to help your child in specific areas which may include: communication deficiencies, difficulties waiting, difficulties when told "no", and difficulties when asked to stop playing with their favorite items or activities.  
  • Functional Communication:  If your child is struggling with finding a form of communication, we will help determine the best form to use based on what is most of effective for him or her.  With a focus on vocalizations, we may also implement other modes such as sign language and augmentative communication (e.g., PECs systems or electronic devices).     
  • Adaptive Life Skills:  Does your child require help with basic life skills such as dressing, eating, toileting, and/or completing chores around the house?   After a consult with you and determination of appropriateness, we will develop a program to teach independence in the skills most important to the needs of you and your family.    
  • Toileting:  Having difficulty potty training your child?   We offer a comprehensive toileting program which will bring a whole new quality of life and independence to your child and family. 
  • Social Skills:  Would you like your child to be more social?  We can help with that!  We offer a variety of programs which will help your child become more functionally social when engaging in conversations with family and family activities.  

Community Therapy

Our team will work with your child to over come challenges encountered when you venture out into the community.   We will work within the natural environment where your child experiences difficulties such as the grocery store, dental appointments, hair cuts, community events, and more, to teach replacement behavior and coping skills needed to over come these difficult situations. 

School Therapy

Your child's team will work with school staff, public or private school, to develop programs and protocols that are effective and appropriate within the school setting.   We work with many schools to provide 1:1 therapy for your child utilizing the principals of applied behavior analysis.  We believe that the teachers and school staff should guide and deliver the content and instruction while we shape the skills that your child requires to be successful to complete their day to day activities and to achieve their overall goals.    

Social Skills Groups

Our social skills program will focus on teaching your child the skills required to handle situations through developing self awareness and self monitoring.   Your child will identify their own barriers and coping skills to help them self-regulate.   In addition, your child will engage in fun activities which will require them to work collectively in a group allowing them to build the social skills required to navigate through daily life activities.      

KBS Academy 

KBS Academy houses a private K-3 Autistic Support program as well as a K-12 alternative placement program specializing in trauma assumed Applied Behavior Analysis. At KBS Academy, we believe that in order to do their best, students and staff must be Happy, Relaxed and Engaged. We strive to make sure the values of compassion-based ABA are evident in all we do. Our program focuses on building rapport with our students, maintaining their safety and dignity, and implementing interventions that are televisual and individualized to meet their academic, social and behavioral needs. Check out KBS Academy by clicking the link below. 

Birthday Parties at Small Town 

​We offer a safe environment where kids can explore, socialize and have fun. Allow us to take care of all your birthday party needs at KBS's Small Town. You can select from a wide range of packages depending on your party preferences. We can supply the food, the drinks, and the good times. You can add a bounce house, a bubble house, or cotton candy machine to make your party one the kids will never forget!
